Hey there! – A Musical Short Story

heythere - short story with musical ending

Love is not that simple as one thinks it to be! And you know one thing, emotions don’t know the distance, relationship or any anonymity… They just be!

“September, come on boy! It’s time for a walk…” Akrut looks around for his dog.

Weird name for a dog, isn’t it? But it was a gift from Shivanjali; she was a uniquely wonderful girl. Few Septembers back, she confessed her love for Akrut with a love note tied to a red collar on a puppy’s neck.

Love is not that simple as one thinks it to be, it has to fit in several pre-decided norms. In their case, it wasn’t. Both had to tie the knots with two different people. And now again their anonymous relation don’t meet the criteria! As per standards, both are refrained to have any words with each other. But true feelings can’t be watered-down ever. Akrut gets this casual e-mail from a remote id, desisted to be replied. One of those has arrived today…

He clicks open the mail, the same message it contains,

– “Hey there, take care!”

“I will!” Mumbling with a contented smile, he starts for a long walk today with the head phones on with his favorite song…
