So, let’s take a concise look at what keeps this mass mover motivated.
Book 1: Man’s search for meaning
The book has been identified as one of the most influential books in the United States. At the time of Frankl’s death in 1997, the book had sold over 10 million copies and had been translated into 24 languages.
It’s a 1946 book by Viktor Frankl chronicling his experiences as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. It involves that methods used in identifying a purpose in life to feel positive about.
Quote from the book – “But there was no need to be ashamed of tears, for tears bore witness that a man had the greatest of courage, the courage to suffer.”
This really seems relevant to Sandeep’s struggles in life and his bouncing back, fighting hard every time.
Book 2: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective people
With Covey’s supplemented conclusions on how the habits can be used in our modern age, the wisdom of the 7 Habits will be refreshed for a new generation of leaders.
The 7 Habits have become famous and are integrated into everyday thinking by millions and millions of people. In this book, Stephen R. Covey reveals a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity!
Quote from the book –
“ Habit 1: Be Proactive
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Habit 4: Think Win/Win
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
Habit 6: Synergize
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw ”
So, these habits are said to be the heart of the book and no one can deny that following them will definitely lead to the possibility for what a man should do and what he can do!
Maheshwari’s thought of working on one’s self first totally looks agreeable with Covey’s thoughts in the book.
Book 3: How to win Friends & Influence people
The book has been recommended by many renowned people like, Warren Buffett , Daymond John, DJ Vlad
Been published in 1998, the book highlights human psychology and leads the reader to the ways that help them learn to connect with other auras of human existence and hence influence one another gradually.
Carnegie has clearly given us the key to be happy and stated that our happiness totally depends on what we think!
Book 4: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Great minds think alike! The Alchemist has been the book most recommended by almost all the great achievers from various fields.
Paulo Coelho’s masterpiece tells us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognizing opportunity and learning to read the omens.
Quote from the book – “We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”
The constant theme in The Alchemist is to pursue your dreams by following what your heart desires. It has become a modern classic, selling millions of copies around the world and transforming the lives of countless readers across generations.
Book 5: Rumi by Farrukh Dhondy
The poems of Jalaluddin Rumi continue to be relevant almost eight centuries after they were composed, with contemporary audiences finding new meanings in them. They bring together the divine and the human, the mystical and the corporeal to create a vivid kaleidoscope of poetic images.
Quote from the book – “Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.”
Rumi believed passionately in the use of music, poetry and dance as a path for reaching God. His poetry is the most human expression of mystical experiences, in which readers can find their own favorite ideas and feelings—from enthusiastic flights into the heavens to matter-of-fact descriptions of daily life.
So, these books may have played an important role in Sandeep Maheshwari’s life, we can say.
